• How is the production department ORGANISED ?
Vincent : Our range of product is very popular with our customers and some items require a mass production in order to meet the ever-changing order book. Thus, the production department is made up of 5 production cells, each one managed by a person who becomes its representative. However, in order to cope with the variable activity, each one keeps some versatility in such a way as to make the teams rotate between these cells. With this system we can organize the workload so as to prevent any overload and contribute to the well-being at work.
• What do you enjoy the most in your profession ?
Vi : I am a patient person who really appreciates the high-quality and meticulous work. We learn something new every day in this job, unlike to what one might think each product does have its own specificity and I like to participate in the daily customer satisfaction thanks to TETRADIS’ tailor-made production.
Vincent : Of course, I agree with you. Moreover, offer tailor-made products that meet each need of our customers even is the aim of TETRADIS. There are plenty of combinations and adjustments possibilities, especially on the optical drawers, which sometimes require a modification of the basic product thanks to the R&D department. Therefore, we offer customization in order to facilitate the installation in the ground, and this is what I especially appreciate as I like to be active and be part of the “Made in France” development.
• What are the production’s department values ?
Vincent : Our manufacturing culture is oriented towards three strong values: teamwork, autonomy and staff involvement. Teamwork certainly is the most effective way to find solutions and reach the expected results by sharing our experiences. Everyone’s autonomy is a real management conveyor. We are convinced that issues should be dealt as close as possible to their origin, which is why we delegate the associated responsibilities. Finally, staff involvement is the key to success to work together on a good way and mood with common objectives.
• Tell me more about safety at work inside the production department.
Vincent : We want our staff to always be safe. With this aim in mind, we select safety-oriented equipment suppliers. For instance, we are using an automatic utility knife or a new generation of disposable cutters adapted to open boxes in order to prevent any risk of accident. We also provide cardboard box to throw away all sharp items so as to avoid throwing them in conventional bins.
Vi : We attempt to use PPE’s suitable for everyday use such as, for instance, gloves that prevent all cuts risk.
